1. Overview

These API Terms of Use ("API Terms") govern your access to and use of the NextGen Grant OS application programming interfaces ("APIs"). By accessing or using the APIs, you agree to these API Terms, which supplement and are incorporated into our Terms of Service.

2. API Access and Keys

• API Keys: API access requires valid API keys issued by RavDev Technologies. API keys are tied to your account and subscription plan.
• Key Security: You are responsible for keeping your API keys confidential. Do not share API keys in public repositories, client-side code, or with unauthorized parties.
• Key Rotation: Rotate API keys immediately if you suspect they have been compromised. Contact support@ravdevtech.com for assistance.
• Key Revocation: We reserve the right to revoke API keys at any time for violation of these Terms or security reasons.

3. Permitted Use

You may use the APIs to:

• Integrate NextGen Grant OS functionality into your internal applications and workflows
• Automate grant management tasks within your organization
• Build integrations with approved third-party tools your organization uses
• Access and export your organization's data from the Service

4. Prohibited Use

You may not use the APIs to:

• Build competing products or services that replicate core Service functionality
• Scrape, harvest, or aggregate data from the Service beyond your authorized data
• Reverse engineer internal API behavior or attempt to discover undocumented endpoints
• Circumvent rate limits, quotas, or other technical controls
• Access data of other organizations or users without authorization
• Train machine learning models using data retrieved from the APIs without written authorization
• Resell API access to third parties without a separate reseller agreement

5. Rate Limits and Quotas

API usage is subject to rate limits based on your subscription plan:

Exceeding rate limits will result in HTTP 429 (Too Many Requests) responses. Consistent pattern of exceeding limits may result in temporary or permanent suspension of API access. Contact support@ravdevtech.com to discuss elevated quotas.

6. Data Usage Restrictions

• Data retrieved via the API may only be used for your organization's internal purposes
• You may not share, publish, or distribute data retrieved via the API to unauthorized parties
• AI-generated content retrieved via the API is subject to the same human review requirements as AI content accessed through the user interface (see AI Use Policy)
• You must comply with all applicable data privacy laws when processing personal data retrieved via the API

7. API Versioning and Changes

• We use versioned API endpoints (e.g., /api/v1/). We will maintain backward compatibility within a major version.
• When we deprecate an API version, we will provide at least 90 days notice via email and in-Service notifications.
• Breaking changes require a major version increment. We will support the previous major version for at least 90 days after a new major version release.
• We reserve the right to modify or discontinue experimental or beta APIs without notice.

8. Webhooks

If you use webhook integrations:

• You are responsible for the security of webhook endpoints you register
• Webhook endpoints must validate the webhook signature provided in request headers
• We deliver webhooks with a best-effort guarantee; implement retry logic for critical workflows
• Webhook payloads must not be exposed publicly

9. Liability

Use of the APIs is at your own risk. RavDev Technologies is not liable for any damages arising from API downtime, rate limiting, data inaccuracies, or changes to API behavior. Our APIs are provided on an "as-is" basis.

10. Compliance

You are responsible for ensuring that your API integrations comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including data privacy laws applicable to the data you process.
